It's Christmas Time

Hey Fellas,

It’s been a while since I decided to write again here. It’s just that that there are so many things that happen and I don’t know where to start sharing it with you.

I am happy because it’s already Christmas season. I will be turning 25 on the 25th of this month.  I am so thankful to have another year of living. God was really generous to give everything for us.  He gave me a chance to experience being a daughter, a kid, a lady, a friend, being a mom and now being a wife to my husband. I hope I can still have more time to spend with them to fulfill everything that I need to do for them and I am very thankful for that.

I always dream to give my family a good life so that when I’m gone, it won’t be too hard for them. I always set myself for every possibility that may happen. I know that life is too short so I want to live with it to the fullest. I want to accomplish every dream that I have and have happy memories with my love ones.

Right now, I only wish to have a complete and happy family on my birthday. I hope no one will get sick and have a healthy body. I still believe in the saying..

God always provides.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Gab Misses His Cousin

I am really pessimistic when someone is departing in our house. It’s hard to adjust when you know they are no longer there to share some jokes and have bonding with you. My brother and his family needs to move in Legaspi to help my auntie in their canteen. They will stay there for 3 years.

(Veronica a.k.a Nica)
My brother has a daughter which is my niece named Veronica, we called her Nica for short. She is 5 mos. Older than Gab.

Gab and Nica are much lenient to each other. They always play, sing, draw and do other things. Nica is very patient playing with Gab, even though Gab always bites and fights her. She just cries and came to her mom to ask for help. After that she will going to hug and play again with Gab. Now that Nica leaves with her family, Gab misses her so badly.

(Nica and Gab)

Gab always looks for his Ate Nica. Whenever he wakes up, play, take a bath and sleep he still calls his Ate. I am sure Nica misses Gab too. This is their first week to mess around without each other, so I think they can learn how to adjust.

Three years is long enough and I know they will go fail to remember each other as what they are before. At his age, it’s just hard to explained to him that his Ate was already far away from him and they can no longer play with each other like they used to be.

For now, I’ll make sure that Gab has so much attention that he needs so that he can be sad whenever he misses his Ate.

Here are some photos of them together.

4 Things To Consider In Choosing Diaper for you Baby

There are lots of branded diapers in the market that you can choose from. In my case, I have tried so many types of diapers for my little Gab, before I found a good one. It is not a branded one thou, but it is really good for him. Then, I realize that there are some factors that you need to consider in choosing the right diaper for your baby. So I come up with this list.

The diaper must be:

·         Super Dry / Absorbent Core – it is better that you choose the super dry diapers and have an absorbent core so his skin doesn’t absorb his pee. It also avoid rashes between the legs of you baby.

·         Cloth like diaper – Most of the diapers nowadays are made in plastic disposable diaper that’s why I recommend finding a cloth like disposable diaper. Choosing cloth like diaper makes him comfortable to play/sleep. Or you can also use cloth diapers.

·         Breathable - prevent Irritation and rashes too.

·         Cheap but has a good quality – using cheap diaper doesn’t mean you can’t give the best and quality diapers for your baby. You are just spending your money wisely.

With these tips you can surely find a good diaper that suite to your baby, You just also need patience on trying different diapers. The important thing is, your baby is comfortable in any diaper that you give him. I am sure you can find it later on. Go go go.. Mommae..

How about you? Do you have any tips for choosing the right diaper for your baby? Share it with us below the comment section. Thanks!

Choosing the right vitamins for your Baby/Child

Having thoughts in choosing what vitamins you should give to your baby? Don’t ya worry; I am here to discuss some vitamins that I've given to my little boy. It’s Tiki-tiki, Propan TLC and Ceelin.

(Image from Google)

I’ve used Tiki-tiki drops at the first 6 months of my baby. It is recommended by my mom and my neighbors. It is also very common vitamins that most of the mother’s used for a very long time.  It has sweet tastes like honey.  There is an instruction on how much volume you should give to your kid. You can check some details from Unilab.com.ph

He is just okay taking the vitamins, he increase drinking his milk from 4 bottles up to 6 bottles a day. He also increases in weight.

Later on, I notice that there are times that Gab doesn't want to eat. He became dependent to his milk. He is losing his appetite; he keeps refusing every food that I gave to him even eating Cerelac. That’s the time that I consulted it to his pediatrician. She says that it is better to change his vitamins.

Then, one of my friend who is also a mom, suggest that I should try Propan TLC. It also has “gana-resistensya booster” and at the same time “pampatangkad”. It also tastes like sweet syrup and it is Orange flavor.  She already tries it with her kids for a long time. I can see that her kids have a good built and they became taller. So I decided to give it a try. You can check out their page PropanTLC.com for more info.

(Image from Google)
While Gab taking this vitamin, I notice that he began to enjoy his food. He asks to eat more. I also notice that his height is increasing. I am happy for the result because I know that he is gaining back his appetite. I hope it will just continue. I am still using it until now.

For his vitamin C, I gave him Ceelin Plus. It is an Apple flavor. I prefer to give him different flavors for different vitamins so that he can enjoy taking it. I used to give him vitamin C to protect him from flu and colds. I don’t see any problem while he is taking his vitamins so I just continue giving it to him.

Every day, I always make sure that he takes his vitamins. I gave him Ceelin vitamins after his breakfast and Propan TLC before he sleeps.

It is more better if you ask your Pediatrician for what is a good vitamins and the right volume that you  need to give to your baby/child.

I hope my post can help you to have an idea about the choosing vitamins. How about you? Can you recommend some vitamins that you gave for your Kiddo? Share it with us at the comment box below.

Have a good day! J

5 Important Tips in Taking Care of your Baby/Child

Every new momma wants to give their best to take care of their babies, and most of new-parent’s asking about taking care of their baby. Taking care of your baby is not a small task by any means and I want to share some important tips to consider in taking care of your baby.

Sleep

Starting good sleep habits can stop baby sleep problems before they start. Your baby needs to sleep a lot as he/she grow old. Having a complete sleep a day, help your baby to develop his immune system and brain development.

Crying

Hearing your baby cry can really break your heart, you will do anything just to stop him/her crying. Babies are mysterious and moody. One moment, they are chunky happy and the next moment, they cry without any reason. You need to check what’s wrong with your baby so that you can know what to do to make him stop. When your baby cries try to sing him a song to divert his attention to other things and play with him. Crying in the morning is also good in the baby’s vocal cord, but make sure it’s not too much.

Diaper

Babies have a very sensitive skin, and the wrong chose of diaper can bring rashes to your baby skin. It is better if you chose a cloth like dry diapers to avoid irritation in your baby skin. Try to us mild and non-allergenic baby wash every time you change his diaper.

Bath

Keep your baby clean and fresh. Make sure he takes a bath at least 2 times a day, one in the morning and one before he goes to sleep. It can help him to have a comfortable and long sleep.

Feeding

Breast milk is the first choice for infant's growth, but you can also use formula milk if you have a problem in breastfeeding. Breastfeeding has all the nutrients that they need as they grow old and breast milk is the best for baby up to 1yr. old and above. While you do baby feeding, look for clues as to whether they are finished or looking for more and then you can introduce them solid food.

It is not bad to look for some new things to try, for the sake of the goodness of your baby. Be the best that you can be. Good luck mommies!

How to get back your body after giving birth?

After giving birth, your body doesn’t get back easily to its normal size like before your pregnancy. Your body has done a wonderful job of growing your baby and bringing her into the world, so gives it a chance to recover! You need time to be healed

Also, exercise is not something to be rushed into after birth. You can start planning getting back into shape when you feel your body is ready - be it six weeks or more down the line. Listen to your body and take it easy.
When you think your body is ready, you can now find a time to add exercise into your daily routine. At first you can do the postnatal exercises for the first six weeks

Walking

Try to walk continuously for about an hour, three to five days a week. Once you can walk comfortably for 30 minutes, you can start to increase your speed. Walking a mile in 20 minutes is a good pace to burn fat and it exercises your heart and lungs.

Weighing

You don’t need to go in the gym to lift some bars. Carrying your baby is just a good form of exercise and good for your arms. You can practice to carry your baby using one arm that last 10 minutes and do the same to the other arm. Eventually, you will be familiar with it as your baby grows.

Yoga

Yoga is great in improving strength and flexibility, but you'll still need to raise your heartbeat with some sort of aerobic exercise a couple of times a week if you want to burn off that belly.

Swimming

It will increase your heart rate but as the water offers you support, has minimal risk of injury. It's also good for firming up post-baby boobs and arms.

It is good thing to take care of your figure even though you are so busy to your new born baby. Having a good body shape increase your confidence and have the courage to go back to your work and face the world that full of challenges.

After Giving Birth

A month after I gave birth to my baby, I am still at the adjusting point. I can’t believe in myself that I manage to deliver a baby weighing 2.9 kilo that had been in my womb for 9 months. I am really glad that I make it. My friends said that I am strong and brave for giving birth.

I know that I should be happy that I already have my baby after waiting for 9 months, but I don’t understand myself, I feel so low, sad and hopeless. I always think if I can be a good mom to him. If I can provide the things that he needs and at the same time, support my parents. I have a lot of ideas in my mind that makes me worried. I usually cried whenever I watch my baby asleep. I am afraid for all the things that may possible happen to my baby. My parents always asked me why I am crying, or if I have a problem, just tell them and I always answer them I don’t have problem.  That was the time that my Aunt came in and told me that maybe I am having a Postpartum depression.
(My Papa and Gab)

(Postpartum depression occurs in women soon after giving birth. Symptoms include sadness and hopelessness. Counseling and antidepressants are treatment options.)

My parents were very supportive to me; they take care of me and my baby, for my faster recovery. They always gave me an advice to stay strong for my baby and told me the stories that they had been experience when I was a baby, for me to have an inspiration. Staying with my parents really helps me to recover from that depression.

When my maternity leave is over, it’s my time to go back to work so I can continue to support the needs of my baby and family. Being a working mom is so hard for me because, you need to do your job at the office and when you go home you also need to do your role as a mom. That is also the reason why I can’t give a breastfeed to my baby. Breast feeding is really important to your baby so that he can have the best milk and nutrition that you can give to him. In my case, I choose to feed him through feeding bottle using formula milk.

(My Mama and Gab)

My mom take care my baby whenever I go to work, and when I go home he sleeps with me until the morning comes. I am so blessed that my parents are always there for me. Until today my mom taking care my baby from Monday to Friday and for the weekends my love and I are responsible for my baby.

I wish I am rich enough to provide the needs of my family and baby so that I don’t need to go to work and leave my baby to my mom. I envy those mother who can act as a fully house wife to their family, and give up their career just to personally take care the needs of their baby and love one’s. Every mom’ wants to take care their baby personally especially if it stills a new born baby. Feed him whenever he’s hungry, sing him a lullaby when he is sleepy and play with him. I know someday I can do that too, that’s why I want to work hard for that.

Despite of all the pain and depression that I've felt, I am thankful to have a baby that came from my womb. Not all woman have a chance to give birth and I can say I am very lucky for having a baby. I believe that all the babies are the gift from god that's why I love my baby and I will treasure him always. For me he is my lucky charm.

So Hurray! for a mom like me! I know we can do it. Go for the best!

Giving Birth

March 3, 2013 was the day that I’ve been waiting for nine months, to gave birth. Actually, I didn’t know that it was my time to gave birth. I just experienced a strong contractions on my tummy the whole night before and until morning, and then I decided to go for a checkup.

When I was in the clinic they check my condition and they said that I was in labor stage and ready to gave birth anytime of the day. Suddenly, I felt nervous. I was nervous and scared on how can I do it. Keep asking myself if I can do it. I keep on praying to have a normal delivery and to have a healthy baby. I know that my family and my love were there to support and guide me and that gives me the motivation to be strong.

When I felt a very strong contraction that I cannot bear anymore, I shout for the pain. Midwife and a nurse get me and placed to the delivery room. They started the rituals and keep saying to me to breath and push. I did what they said and I thought I already called all the saints to help me in my delivery. It was 2:09 in the afternoon when my water bag broke then next my baby comes out. My tears came out when I saw my baby crying and placed on the top of my chest. I just breathe and mouthed “Thank God, Thank God”.

(My New Born Baby : Luke Gabriel)

Watching my baby asleep on top of me looks so cute and it takes all the pain away. I feel complete, happy and blessed. My baby is healthy and cute. My family was so excited to see the baby and me. Then they bring me to my normal room to rest for a while. I felt so weak that time; I can’t even speak to talk to my love. He just cried and said “Thank you, Mommy”. I smiled and hold his hand.

(He's asleep to gain energy so that he can cry loud again)

As a mom I feel so happy and relieved that I delivered him normally even though I am so nervous and scared that time. It was a painful but a great experience for me. I am happy that I made it. Giving birth is every woman’s dream but it is not an easy task. Two lives can be both in danger if something’s bad happen.

(Meet my treasure, He's awake)

That time, I know that it is the start of the new stage of my life, being a mother to my baby and a wife to my love. I know that I can do it with the help and guidance of my family and friends that really cares for me. I am not scared anymore. I will  raise my baby as how my mother raised me. Teach him everything he needs to know, what is right and wrong, and how to have faith in God.
